PULSE is our 7th-12th grade Student Ministry of Calvary Chapel.
Why is it called, “PULSE”?
PULSE was derived from 2 Timothy 1:7. In verse 6, Paul encouraged Timothy to use the gift of God that was given to Timothy. We are always encouraging each other to stoke the spiritual fire that is within us. God wants to burn brightly within us so that our sinful desires will burn away, and our eternal identity will shine into a dark and lost world.
In verse 7, Paul goes on to say “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of POWER, of LOVE and of SOUND-MIND” thus the acronym “PLS” was formed. This led to the nickname “PULSE” which also has to do with our heartbeat. Just as we can check whether we are physically alive or dead by checking our pulse, we also can check our spiritual pulse to know if we are spiritually healthy.
When do we meet?
We meet Wednesdays at 7 PM in the Upper Room for worship, community, small groups, and relevant Bible teaching for teens. Our focus is to build up one another as men and women in the ways and Will of the Lord.
Our students are from public, private, and home schools in and around Central Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Our primary goals are to teach God’s Word with relevance in the lives of teens and build community and love through the unity of the Holy Spirit.
