Infant - Preschool
In our preschool classrooms you will find life and love!
In our infants classroom you will find our volunteers lovingly caring for your children and speaking truth to them.
In our other preschool classes, we spend our time worshiping God with our whole bodies: moving, playing and singing together. You’ll find us listening to Bible stories and engaging in hands-on activities that point preschoolers to know their need for a Savior. We use a curriculum that helps preschoolers dive deep into the big story of the Bible – God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ! Children’s ministry is not just what we do, but who we are. We love imagining ways to help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus and establish a gospel foundation for a lifetime of discipleship.
Top 6 Things You Need to Know
1. Service Experience:
During the service your child will have plenty of interaction geared for their developmental age. Our nursery strives to be a place where each child feels safe and parents feel comfortable leaving their little ones. Two year olds and preschoolers will engage in worship and learn about Jesus in bite-sized pieces through video Bible teaching and hands-on activities that reinforce the lesson. We want each preschooler to know that the Bible is one big story that points them to Jesus!
2. What to Bring:
Nursery parents, please feel free to bring a diaper bag with anything you feel your baby may need. Preschoolers may bring extra clothes or diapers/pull-ups if needed. Our check in volunteers can print diaper bag tags for you to label all of your belongings.
In the two year old’s and preschool classes we serve Pepperidge Farm cheddar goldfish and water for a snack during each service. If your child requires a special snack please feel free to send that with your child clearly marked/labeled with your child’s name. Please do not send any snacks containing nuts!
3. Diaper Changes and Potty Breaks:
We ask that you please take your child to the restroom prior to dropping them off to class. However, all of our background checked volunteers are happy to assist your child to the restroom as needed. Calvary Chapel maintains an open door bathroom policy. If you prefer to change your child’s diaper or take your child to the restroom, please let us know and we will page you as needed.
4. Crying Doesn’t Bother us!
Don’t be alarmed if your child cries at drop-off or pick-up. We understand that this is a natural and healthy sign that your child has formed a bond with you! Separation anxiety can begin in the early months and may continue on through the preschool years. Our volunteers are trained to care for your child. However, if we are unable to console your child we will page you!
5. Wellness:
We care about the health of each child in our Sunday school program. Therefore, we ask that you please keep your child at home if your child is experiencing any of these symptoms: a fever of 99.8 or above, if they are vomiting, have a runny nose, questionable rashes, etc., and/or have started an antibiotic within the last 24 hours. Additionally, all of our toys are disinfected weekly in the two year old’s and preschool classrooms, and in between each service in the nursery.
6. Nursing Mom’s Room:
The nursing mom’s room is available to all moms needing to nurse their babies during services. For the comfort of all our moms, we ask that this area be reserved for moms nursing babies only. Each service is live streamed to the nursing mom’s room for your convenience.
We take the safety of your child very seriously! Every adult in our classrooms has been interviewed, carefully trained, and has a current background check on file. The parent pickup receipt you receive at check-in is unique to your family and provides extra security at pickup. This number will change each week.

Kindergarten - 6th Grade
In our elementary age groups, we create an environment that promotes a personal faith in Jesus Christ through an age-appropriate chronological study of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation called The Gospel Project. We want all CalvaryKids to see that the Bible is one big story that unites the themes of Scripture, where Jesus is highlighted throughout the Old and New Testaments. We seek to captivate your child’s interest as we rotate through large and small groups and engage in high-energy, Biblically-based programs for their age group, in order to promote a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Top 5 Things You Need to Know
1. The Service Experience:
During our services, each child has the opportunity to take part in energetic worship, hear Bible stories in a large group setting, and spend time with their small group leader. We want to help kids see that the whole Bible points to Jesus Christ and His rescue plan to save His people!
2. We Have Fun:
During the elementary phase, kids are all about fun and discovery, so we design our services with this in mind! Each week we have great songs, illustrations, stories and games. Throughout their time, kids will play and discover what the Bible stories mean both practically and personally, so that they can grow in their relationship with God.
3. Small Groups:
Throughout the service experience, elementary kids are organized into small groups by their grades. This allows the same 2 small group leaders to get to know their group of 5-10 kids. Our leaders show they care by engaging with their circle of kids and engaging in gospel-saturated discipleship. Most of our leaders operate on a twice a month schedule, allowing for kids to have the same 2 leaders for the year. We aim for small groups to be the most impactful part of the elementary service and we encourage parents to connect with their kid’s small group leaders to maximize their spiritual influence in each child’s life.
4. Wellness:
We care about the health of each child, and so we ask that you please keep your child at home if they experiencing any of these symptoms: a fever of 99.8 or above, if they are vomiting, have a runny nose, questionable rashes, etc., and/or have started an antibiotic within the last 24 hours. Additionally, to encourage wellness, we clean and disinfect classroom items regularly.
5. Partnership:
We are convinced that two combined influences are stronger than any single one. For that reason, the church and home can make a greater impact on the heart of a child when they work together. We also believe that the parents have the greatest responsibility to lead their kids to see a clear image of the real Jesus Christ and what it looks like to be a devoted Christ follower. Each week, we provide at-home resources to cue parents on what we covered, so parents can continue Bible conversations at home!
